"OPEN RELATIONSHIPS"

This time we have invited students not only from fashion departments but also from other Art Academy Departments - like performance, scenography or costume design. The students will put together a play/performance, which will be filmed at the end and edited into a short feature film. The play will be about open relationships between men and women.

The workshop will start on the 10th of April but the students have started to work on the treatments for their play/performace/film in their home countries in February already.

Since the ideas of each country are very different - we will have as the result of FashionLab 2011
workshop - 3 mini plays and a short film with 3 visions of an open relationship - the Italian, the Austrian and the Polish vision.

But all the students will work together on the concepts for the costumes and scene design - they will have to come up with costumes, which they could share, which would be useable in all 3 plays. It seems that the ideas make it possible to use the same costumes and perhaps even the same actors. Unless every group will want to act out their own play - then there will be no sharing of actors but only using the same costumes and scenography elements - the final performance will happen outdoors and will be accessible to everybody.
